Producer for the third season of The Dragoning

Job Description

Note from Emily Davis, writer/director/artistic director:

Having done a couple of seasons of this audio drama now, we have a pretty smooth flow for how to get this can get made. It’s a matter of getting actors recorded, either in person or remotely and then handing those recordings over to our sound designer. What we need is some new perspective on how to get the word out, how to make things flow even more easily and to be a bit of a hype (wo)man.

Could I produce this myself? Yes, I could. I produced the previous seasons on my own and if I had to, I could probably do this one by myself as well. But I don’t want to. I need a team. Because I’ve done it, I know what I’m missing by not having a producer to collaborate with. I need someone to check in with, to run ideas past, to keep an eye on the big picture when I am caught in the weeds of a creative detail. I need someone to strategize with, to offer up alternatives, to help me catch the things that can fall through the cracks. Usually, it’s things related to publicity and marketing that fall by the wayside. I have good ideas (sometimes) but I fall down on following up. I need a prime minister of following up. I need someone to follow up with me and to follow up with the outside world and help me get the word out. I need a Follower-Upper-In-Chief. I need someone who can see what needs to be done and then do it. I need someone to discuss the budget with, someone to think ahead, someone to take some administrative tasks off my plate, and not because I said, “Here, will you take this off my plate?” I’m used to having all the things on my plate and I don’t always see what could come off it.
